Summary:
"The kill order by James Dashener from "The Maze runner" series, is the book that I read for my independent reading this quarter.Mark and Trina form an alliance with Alec, Lana and others who rescue them from a group of street urchins. The group flees to the fictional Lincoln building to avoid an impending tsunami. One year later in North Carolaina, the small village where Mark, Trina, Alec and Lana live is attacked by huge helicopter, the helicopters released some darts, Mark and Alec realize that the darts were filled with a deadly virus. The group founded an abandoned village where they meet a 5-year-old girl named Deedee, whom they take with them. They encounter an infected cult who believe Deedee is a demon of some sort as she is not affected by the virus within the darts, after that they manage to escape the cult and they continue their trek to the headquarters site. They arrive at the site and sneak in to the Post-Flares Coalition's base. They over heard on a convention and realize that the virus is known as The Flare, a virus that shuts down the thinking part of people's brains. They got caught listening and they to escaped again and steal a Berg, before Mark realizes that The Flare has already taken his mind.Lana was badly tortured by the virus, forcing Alec to kill her, then they find Trina and Deedee , and Mark realizes Trina has the Flare and has forgotten about him. They are attacked by the infected and manage to escape back to the Berg. As Mark starts to lose his mind, he realizes that Deedee is immune to the virus and should be sent to the PFC base in Alaska. Mark plans on delivering Deedee using a Flat Trans teleporter in another base inside the safe part of Asheville. As they travel, it is revealed that Alec also has the Flare and is dying. Mark and Trina manage to deliver Deedee to the Flat Trans, sending her to the safety of the PFC base. Mark orders Alec to crash the Berg into the building, in order to prevent the infected from escaping Asheville. Trina remembers Mark and they embrace just as the Berg crashes, killing everyone in the base. Opinion: My opinion about this book is that is a really good book and interesting to read but also confusing, because what happens in this book goes before what happens in the rest of the series so I didn't like it so much, like I wasn't really into the story.

This quarter I read the book "Paper Towns" by John Green. It is a really cool book about a boy named Quentin who falls in love with a girl named Margo at a really young age when they became neighbors. They were best friends when they were little until they saw a dead man at Jefferson Park and they never talked to eachother again. They were in senior year and Margo had a boyfriend, but he cheated on her with her best friend so at night one day she went to Quentin's house for help, she wanted revenge. So they went late at night, and they talked again and became friends again so Q was really happy that this was actually happening. They became really good friends and one day Margo got lost, nobody knew of her and Q was asking for her all over the school. Margo always left clues so Quentin knew where she was and he looked for her for a really long time with help from his friends Ben and Radar. He looked all over for her until graduation day came and he found her far away in a paper town.

Two years ago, I was in ballet and my parents told me, "Is there a trip to the US this year?", I answered, "I seriously don't know much about it, why?". My parents didn't tell me why so I ignored it. Three months later, the academy sent me a letter that said that I had to do an audition to see my dancing abilities and if I qualified for the trip or not. I really didn't know if this letter was actually for me or not, so I went directly to my parents to ask, "What is this letter about?", and my parents didn't answer, but they showed a smily face, so I yelled, "I AM GOING TO HOLLYWOOD!". I was really excited and you could see it clearly in my face. Then all the meetings started. We were going to two academies, one named Millennium Dance Complex and the other named Edge Performing Arts Center. I got even more excited so I went to the audition. I had to dance and also make an application letter to my teacher, and had to answer some questions. Then one month later I got my application letter response, "You passed!" said my mom referring to my sister, "and you too!", she told me. My mom gave me the letter and so I started to read, it said that we had to go to the academy to the last step. In this step we had to record ourselves dancing to show to the US academies for them to approve and take a look at our level. The trip was getting closer, I was really excited, "I have good news", said the teacher, "We are going to meet Sophia Lucia". She was a really famous dancer and she was my idol, my teacher already planned everything with her manager to meet with her, so I couldn't wait any longer. The trip came and we had a great time, much better than expected. "IT WAS AWESOOMEEE!!". Lesson 49: Complete a blog post on the topic of your choice using semi-colons multiple times. Last summer I travelde to many places in the States, I went to Miami, Florida; Las Vegas, Nevada; San Francisco, California; and Los Angeles, California. We lived lots of experiences and one of them was Six Flags. My mom is really bad for this kind of programs; she decided not to join us in the adventure. She kept all our things; we were really excited and making the line. The best thing of my trip was spending time with my family and everything. Also we drove Miami, Atlanta; flew from Atlanta to Las Vegas; then drove Las Vegas, San Francisco; and San Francisco, Los Angeles. I ended up really tired and the last days I was really needed to come back, but I loved my trip, it was awesome. Not everyone is fond of "Heavy Metal" music, to be honest, I wasn't much of a fan either days ago, until a while back I stumbled upon a song called A Tout Le Monde by the "Thrash Metal" band, Megadeth. Since then I began researching about this music genre, a musical style everyone might perceive as "noise", but that is because they have not learned to appreciate it. There was another really cool band which I later heard, another big one on the "Thrash Metal" genre, this band is no other than Slayer. This band is a must for metal fans, there is no song that could fit more into the "Metal" scene than Raining Blood or South of Heaven. A tout le monde, metal is a great musical genre, everyone should try listening to it at least once in their lives! Here is a picture of Slayer.

To do my mom's cake you need the following ingredients: eggs, flour, sugar, butter, and baking powder. It is rally easy to make, most of the time we do it for important things. We have made this cake for events like my birthday, parties, etc. You always begin with the following: butter, sugar, and flour. Put all the ingredients in a container, mix them, and then bake it for about 45 min. Warning: to do this you have to be observed and helped by an adult. This weekend I stood here in Manizales because I had to do a project that's due on Tuesday. While I was here, my sister and her friends were at my farm. I really wanted to go, but school did't let me. I stood in a friend's house because neither of my parents or my sister were here. On Saturday I did my homework during the afternoon and then I went to a friend's house. We ate, until we almost exploded. Before we even cooked dinner, we were full. Then on Sunday, I did homework all day and then my friend came to my house and we finished homework. As soon as my parents arrived, I went to mass and then I fell asleep. Last sunday i went to the movies with my friends. We hard, tough time choosing what to watch, until finally we decided to watch Creed, where Sylvester Stallone reprises his role as Rocky Balboa. This has been one of the most stressful, powerful and emotional movies i have ever watched. I still don't know if its one of my favourites, but it sure is a great movie. All of us loved it immediately, as soon as were got out of the cinema all we did was talk about it, because of its greatness and powerful message. This is Creed's poster lesson 6: Complete a blog post on the topic of your choice using items in a series multiple times. Review the rubric for the GrammarFlip blog posts!
